GuruFest Self Organizing Rides
From Watertown via bus 59
Take the 59 outbound bus from Watertown Sq. Get off at Needham Junction Commuter Rail Station. Follow Great Plain Ave (rd. 135) west for 1.5 miles. That is away from Needham town center (park) and Harvey's Hardware, for those of you with defective inner compasses. Olin College campus will be on the right. Enter the campus at "Olin Way" and follow the road around to the left.

From the East
Take the Massachusetts Turnpike to Exit 15 (Interstate 95/Route 128). After the tolls, follow the signs for Route 95/128 South. Exit Route 95/128 South at exit 19B (Highland Avenue, Needham). Follow Highland Avenue for 1.5 miles to a three-way intersection with Chapel and May Streets; bear slight right onto Chapel Street (to the right of the gas station). Take a right at the first light onto Great Plain Avenue/Rte 135. Then follow "From Great Plain Avenue" directions below.
From the West

From the North or South

From Great Plain Avenue
Proceed on Great Plain Avenue for 1.5 miles and the Olin College campus will be on the right. Enter the campus at "Olin Way" and follow the road around to the left to parking lot A, which provides access to all campus buildings.
By Train
Olin College is accessible by commuter rail from Boston on the Needham line. The line originates at Boston's South Station, and may also be boarded at Boston's Back Bay Station. The nearest commuter rail stop to Olin College is Needham Center, which is located at the intersection of Great Plain Avenue and Eaton Square. The college is a short taxi ride from Needham Center.
Amtrak's Northeast Direct Service stops at Route 128 in Westwood, about six miles from Needham. From there, take a taxi to Olin College. Amtrak continues on to Boston's South Station, where commuter rail service is available (see above).
Transportation From Logan Airport
The nearest major airport to Olin College is Boston's Logan Airport. The easiest, albeit costliest, way to and from the airport is to take a cab. Taxi stands are located at each Logan Airport terminal. The cost is approximately $45-50 each way. Allow 30-50 minutes for the trip.
If renting a car, ask the rental company for directions to the Ted Williams Tunnel. Upon entering the tunnel, you must pay a $3.00 toll. After exiting the second tunnel, merge onto the Mass Pike (I-90). After several miles, you must pay a $1.00 toll, but continue to follow the Mass Pike, and take Exit 15 for Rte. 95/128 South. Another $1.00 toll is required after exiting. Follow web directions to campus for "From the North or South" and "From Great Plain Avenue."
Via public transportation, you take the Silver line from Logan airport to South Station, then the commuter rail to Needham Center. Other nearby commuter rail stops are Wellesley Hills and Wellesley Square. The nearest âTâ stops (subway line) are Eliot, Riverside or Woodland â which are all stations on the Green line.
An alternative route is to take the Logan Express shuttle to Framingham. The Logan Express shuttle stop is located near Shoppers' World and goes to and from the airport every half-hour Monday-Friday from 4:00 am to 11 pm and Sunday from 1 pm to 11 pm. On Saturdays and Sunday mornings, the service runs once an hour. The cost is $9 each way or $16 round trip. Shopper's World is about a 20-25 minute drive away from campus and there is paid parking available. The cost for parking is $8.00/day, $48.00/week.
